The Florida Department of Education announced Monday that the state will send letters to 10,000 teachers and staff members with a warning about illegal aliens in schools.
Teachers who have foreign nationals on their payroll could face losing their teaching license if they don't "correct" those illegal workers.

The Florida Department of Education (Department) has determined that an individual employed by or doing work under contract with the Department, including a school or school district, on any of the following dates is not eligible to be employed or otherwise engaged in school or district related employment activities in Florida:
November 9, 2012 through November 9, 2018.
If the individual engages in school or district related employment activities during the above dates, he or she may be terminated and, upon termination, may not re-apply for a license for three years from the date of termination. Such individuals, along with other individuals employed or doing work under contract with the Department on the dates listed above, shall be required to correct any and all unlawful employment practices that have been identified to the Department by October 1, 2013. Failure to correct any unlawful employment practices identified to the Department by October 1, 2013, shall be cause for termination and, upon termination, may not re-apply for a license for three years from the date of termination.
